The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has rebutted
a news item appearing in a section of the press alleging that peons and clerks
were appointed as invigilators during the Matric examination.
"The report was totally false and based on supposition,”
Noman Ahsan, Controller of Examination, BSEK, said in a statement.
He said that the names mentioned in the report as peon and
clerks were in fact registered invigilators in the Board.
He pointed out that Muhammad Yameen, a name mentioned in the
report is a teacher having teaching experience of 13 years and Irfanul Haq has
teaching experience of 17 years.
On the basis of their experience they were accorded the duty
of invigilation, the Controller of Examination added.
